HISTORY

Arthur's Knights was founded in 1995 by Arthur Dunne and his wife Phyl.  Together they built a taverners cricket club steeped in tradition, sportsmanship and the promotion of friendship through the game of cricket.

Arthur Dunne also played for other well established taverner cricket clubs, including Merrion Cricket Club, Terenure Walnuts, the "Slammers", Theatrical Cavaliers and Richview Cricket Club.

He also toured with a representative Irish Taverners Team to India in 2008.

Upon his passing in 2011, Phyl acted as President of Arthur's Knight, and in this role, she did everything possible to maintain the values and spirit of the Club.
